YELLOWKNIFE—United Way Northwest Territories is excited to announce that applications for the 2025 Community Investment Fund (CIF) are now open. Registered charities and nonprofits across the NWT addressing key community challenges are encouraged to apply.
The Community Investment Fund provides grants of up to $7,500 for single-year projects or up to $15,000 per year for multi-year initiatives. Charitable organizations whose community support aligns with United Way NWT’s focus areas—From Poverty to Possibility, Healthy People, Strong Communities, and All That Kids Can Be—are encouraged to apply.
“We are proud to continue the Community Investment Fund’s legacy of supporting Northern charities and nonprofits dedicated to improving lives across our communities,” said Paul Gillard, Board Chair of United Way NWT.
Applications are open until December 11, 2024. Registered NWT charities and nonprofits can submit applications by email to office@nwt.unitedway.ca or by mail to United Way NWT, PO Box 1145 Stn. Main, Yellowknife, NT X1A 2N8.
The Community Investment Committee will review applications in January 2025 and make final recommendations to the board in February. Approved funds will be distributed by March 2025.
United Way NWT raises funds through workplace campaigns, special events, and private donations. The Community Investment Fund is only possible thanks to the generosity of our donors, whose contributions directly support projects improving the lives of Northerners.
