The United Way NWT is proud to be in a position to support non-profits of the NWT. As it stands, we…
- Provide funding to NWT non-profits, charitable organizations through our Community Engagement process;
- Promote activities and events of non-profits in our monthly E-newsletter;
- Promote volunteer opportunities on our social media pages;
- When available, provide training opportunities.
In this section, we would like to provide further information to those wanting to set-up a non-profit organization. To do so, we invite you to visit the Government of the NWT’s corporate registry website, specifically the incorporation tab.
To apply to be registered as a charity, you must contact the Canadian Revenue Agency, their website is actually quite user friendly and easy to navigate.
