About the Gathering
3-day Climate Resilience Gatherings will be held in Hay River and Inuvik this January. They are designed to help build strong communities by providing psychological first aid training, creative writing workshops, and practical action plans.
- Certification and meals are no-cost and included with attendance. Spots are limited to 20 participants per location.
- The travel, accommodations, and food costs will also be covered for anyone travelling outside of our host communities.
Who Can Register:
NWT Representatives from Hay River/Inuvik and surrounding communities who represent Non-Government Organizations, Community and Indigenous Organizations, OR Health & Wellness Workers.
What You Will Gain/Gathering Schedule:
- On days 1 & 2 of the gathering, participants will gain certification in psychological first aid from the Canadian Red Cross.
- On day 3, there will be community-guided workshops and planning that centre on climate resiliency and adaptability.
